DAVID
David is a visionary and the founder of Maya Munay. He works from a deeply felt inner vision and understands Maya Munay as part of a "New Age enterprise"—a spiritual and physical movement based on the master plant cacao and its spirit. His work encompasses the entire creation process: from harvesting and planting new cacao trees to managing a cacao hacienda within a syntropic-agroforestry context, and mindfully shaping the entire value chain in harmony with all living beings involved. A central concern for him is to protect cacao in all its aspects, to develop it sustainably, and to preserve it for future generations as an original, ceremonially honored plant being.
David acts as a conduit for the energy of cacao at Maya Munay's workshop. The name Maya Munay and the associated aspect of cacao energy came to him naturally and are allowed to unfold through his work. This inner calling accompanies and inspires him in all his thoughts, words, and actions. At the same time, it fills him with great joy to serve his own and the community's development in this special way—supported by the universal love that many of us consciously or unconsciously associate with cacao and chocolate.
His work with cacao is a profound connection of the heart. Cacao came to him and invited him to work for it. Because David's path has always been closely intertwined with Mother Earth, all living beings, and human interaction, cacao now offers him the opportunity to harmonize all his abilities, experiences, and needs. In this way, he serves himself—and thus, in the highest sense, creation and all his relationships.
MANDY
Mandy is part of the Maya Munay team and contributes her creativity to many areas. She designs the newsletter, is active on social media, and participates in numerous wonderful projects. The interaction with the community is particularly important to her and brings her the most joy.
Maya Munay means something very special to her because the products come from nature and pass on something valuable. She greatly appreciates being part of this community – a family that creates together, helps others, and brings joy.
EKADASHI
Ekadashi contributes her creative and spiritual energy to Maya Munay. She creates illustrations and designs – from the logo to packaging – thus shaping Maya Munay's visual world. She also leads cacao ceremonies, which focus on deep connection with one's own feelings, working with the inner child, and developing one's creativity.
Working in a modern, values-driven team is a great inspiration for her. Maya Munay is like family to Ekadashi, a space where she can grow, learn, and develop.
Cacao touches them on a deep level – as a plant being in the ritual. In a gentle and caring way, it supports them in getting in touch with their feelings and in treating themselves with loving care.
ANDY
Andy brings his many years of experience and technical background to Maya Munay, helping to shape the company's technological foundation. He has been part of the project from the very beginning and has accompanied Maya Munay's development with great enthusiasm and commitment as their shared vision continues to grow.
His motivation for working with Maya Munay is closely linked to his long-standing friendship with David. He is grateful for the trust and the invitation to be part of this vision. Andy is convinced that Maya Munay can leave a sustainable footprint – through conscious access to high-quality cocoa, responsible production, and a value chain that benefits everyone involved.
