WOW!!! WHAT A CREATION by Ekadashi – our family member of Maya Munay. A great deal of dedication, artistic inspiration, a conscious connection with the master plant, cacao, and a tremendous amount of patience were required to create this handmade masterpiece. All of us on the Maya Munay team are deeply grateful for this work and this work by Ekadashi and are proud to now be able to share our cacao with you for almost all of our ceremonial cacao varieties in our new packaging.

We hope it's even more enjoyable when you hold our energetically charged packaging in your hands and, with your own awareness, remove the cocoa from the packaging, creating your own medicine and a moment of conscious being. New names for our cocoa varieties

ALOHA and ADIWA!

To make it easier to distinguish our cacao varieties from one another, we now have different names. In addition to the "Sur del Lago" cacao liquor in the form of drops, which still comes in the familiar packaging, our cacao liquor chunks are now called ALOHA and ADIWA. Based on your feedback, the ALOHA chunks in the current version are smaller than before – still suitable for snacking and for creating your ceremonial cacao more effectively.

You are already familiar with ADIWA cocoa mass and it is also based on the same bean from the Sur del Lago region in Venezuela.

We now have three different blessed ceremonial cacao masses from Venezuela, all based on the same bean and differing only in the processing time (grinding) and the shape. A longer grinding process makes the cacao more refined, allowing its aromas to develop more fully and its tenderness to increase. The effects vary, and depending on your personal taste, our customers may prefer one over the other. It's up to you.

More information about ALOHA and ADIWA

When we wanted to find suitable names for our cocoa masses, we immediately felt inspired by three things: ALOHA, ADIWA, and ABUELA... They all begin and end with an A... hmm... interesting...

ALOHA

The word ALOHA has been with me for at least 10 years, and anyone who knows me knows that I use it as a greeting and that it has a holistic meaning. It originates from the Huna philosophy and is currently used primarily in Hawaii.

“In Huna philosophy , a spiritual teaching, ALOHA is understood as a central concept that goes far beyond its literal translation. Huna interprets ALOHA as an expression of universal love, harmony, and spiritual wisdom. It represents a way of life based on compassion, respect, and inner balance.”

Meaning of ALOHA in Huna teachings

The Huna philosophy breaks down the word ALOHA to decipher its spiritual essence:

• Alo : presence, sharing, closeness. It means connecting with others in the present moment.
• Ha : The breath of life, vitality. It symbolizes the spiritual energy that connects all living beings.

Together, ALOHA in Huna means "the conscious sharing of the breath of life in the present moment," which represents a state of deep connection and harmony. It means sharing the spirit of life with one another and connecting with the energy of the universe.

Principles of ALOHA in Huna

ALOHA in Huna philosophy is considered a rule of life and reflects five core values:

1. Love and Compassion : Cultivate the spirit of love in all interactions.
2. Presence : Being present in every moment and acting with clarity.
3. Respect for creation : Treat all living beings and nature with reverence and respect.
4. Harmony and balance : Avoid conflicts and promote inner and outer balance.
5. Sharing life energy (Ha) : Consciously connecting with the universal life energy and sharing it with others.

ADIWA

We are also very happy to share with you a lunar calendar by Maya Munay for the 13 lunar phases of the coming year 2025. This also comes from the hand and heart of our beloved and blessed artist Ekadashi.

May the lunar calendar help you connect with the natural rhythms of the lunar and annual cycles, allowing you to synchronize with the prevailing natural energetic qualities in a way that is natural to you. For when I am synchronized with the natural cycles, it usually leads to a completely natural connection to the flow of life and promotes harmony and well-being within myself.
